Listen. Stop. Survive.

The Demon

A blind hunter that tracks audible evidence. Voice and noisy interactions can give away your position. Going quiet breaks its immediate identification, but it still searches the last sound location.

How it attacks

  • Investigates sound and commits to a noise source.
  • Closes in quickly and attacks at close range.
  • Can climb and use a drop pounce; height alone is not a guarantee of safety.
  • Can destroy dropped gadgets it investigates.
Survival tip: Keep your voice and equipment quiet. Move away from the last noisy spot and use designated safe areas.
Mimic — baboon model with its dark monster appearance and red eyes
Mimic · Original character model & monster features
Looks familiar. Isn’t friendly.

The Mimics

Mimics imitate baboon behaviour: roaming, pausing, socialising and inspecting objects. Get too close and the disguise can give way to a larger, faster monster.

How they attack

  • Detect players by sight and proximity, then transform and chase.
  • Can threaten airborne players as well as players on the ground.
  • May switch to another nearby target after an attack.
Meet the movement variants

Walker: Roams in a more ordinary way.
Palm Runner: Moves faster using its hands.
Stalker: Uses leaps, wall movements and higher routes. It may inspect a flashlight or mimic taking a phone photograph.

Survival tip: Leave unfamiliar baboons space. A character holding a flashlight or phone is not proof that it’s another player.
Mother — original monster form from the game

Your sanity is the warning.

Mother

Mother’s encounters develop inside her territory as your sanity falls. A distant presence can become a close reveal, a transformation, and then a physical hunt.

How the encounter changes

  • 90 sanity or below: First entry can make you drop held items and trigger a reveal.
  • 75 or below: Encounters grow more intrusive.
  • 70 or below: A close reveal warns you. Below 70, transformation can lead into hunting.
  • During a hunt she can use ground movement, walls and jumps.
Survival tip: Watch sanity before the hunt begins. Retreat from her territory or reach a designated safe area. Taking her photograph can trigger a scare; that camera scare itself does not deal damage.

The Maze / The Descent

Locust

A towering hunter that patrols the maze and chases players it can see. Breaking line of sight gives you a chance to escape, but it remembers your last position briefly.

How it attacks

  • Patrols the current floor, spots a player and gives chase.
  • Closes the distance for a two-handed stabbing attack and a close-up scare.
  • Can pretend to retreat when you hide in a cabinet, then react when it opens again.
Survival tip: Use corners and closed hiding cabinets. Don’t rush out just because it walked away. A wall can break sight; being nearby does not make you safe.
